Salary: ₹35,000-₹50,000 per month, depending on experience and technical ability

About the Role
We are an established UK-based architectural and design consultancy working on residential projects across London and surrounding areas.
We are expanding our technical team in Ahmedabad and are looking for a motivated Structural Engineer with 2-3 years’ experience to work closely with our UK team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural design and calculations for residential projects
- Design steel beams, columns, padstones, lintels and other structural elements
- Assist with foundation and load-bearing wall design
- Prepare structural layouts, sketches and technical drawings
- Review architectural drawings and identify structural requirements
- Produce structural calculations for submission to Building Control
- Coordinate with architectural and design teams
- Assist with structural solutions for loft conversions, rear extensions and internal alterations
- Review site information, photographs and survey drawings
- Respond to design revisions and project queries
- Manage several projects while meeting agreed deadlines
Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ structural engineering experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Good understanding of structural analysis and design principles
- Experience designing steel, timber, masonry and reinforced concrete elements
- Ability to understand architectural and structural drawings
- Strong technical and numerical skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a UK-based team
- Valuable attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- UK residential structural engineering
- House extensions
- Loft conversions
- Structural alterations
- Steel beam calculations
