Industry: Passive infrastructure primarily relates to the physical non-electronic components of a network, such as cabling, racks, enclosures, and fiber optics.

Role Summary: The IT Technician - Passive is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of all non-active (passive) components of the IT network and data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal physical layer performance,



adherence to industry standards, and high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, route, terminate, and test various types of network cabling, including copper (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A) and fiber optic cables, according to industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA).
- Perform meticulous installation of cable trays, raceways, conduits, and other cable management systems.
- Install, dress, and label patch panels, distribution frames, and telecommunications enclosures (TEs).
- Assemble, install, and ground server racks, cabinets, and enclosures within data centers and communication rooms.
- Assist with the physical setup and decommissioning of passive equipment during infrastructure upgrades or migrations.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, fire codes, and data center best practices.
