Job Summary

We are hiring a purchase manager for our operations in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. We are engaged in the manufacturing of ferro-alloys, which falls under the Iron& Steelindustries.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete purchase and procurement operations.
- Source raw materials, spare parts, equipment, consumables, and other materials as required.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain solid relationships with existing suppliers and develop new vendor sources.
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations based on price, quality, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate purchase price, payment terms, credit period, delivery schedule, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs).
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials according to company requirements.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Accounts, Engineering, and Management for purchase requirements.




- Monitor pending purchase orders and supplier delivery schedules.
- Handle vendor-related issues concerning quality, quantity, delays, shortages, and material discrepancies.
- Maintain proper records of vendors, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documents.
- Monitor market rates and conduct price comparison and cost analysis.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficient procurement.
- Ensure purchases meet required quality standards, specifications, and company policies.
- Prepare purchase-related reports and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Prepare a monthly report of purchase and consumption as per the management needs (MIS).
