Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health and safety procedures at the construction site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure workers, contractors, and subcontractors follow safety rules and procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs.
- Monitor the proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, and incident documentation.
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take corrective actions.
- Monitor work permits and safety requirements for high-risk activities.
- Ensure proper barricading, signage, access, housekeeping, and emergency arrangements.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Coordinate with project management and site teams to improve safety performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards,
and company policies.
Requirements:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Safety Engineering, or relevant qualification.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction site safety.:
- NEBOSH / IOSH / ADIS / Safety Diploma certification will be an advantage.
- Valuable knowledge of construction safety practices and risk assessment.
- Experience in conducting toolbox talks and safety training.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage safety requirements for workers and contractors.
