An MD Anesthesia Consultant is a senior medical specialist responsible for perioperative patient safety, administering anesthesia, and managing pain. They conduct preoperative assessments, monitor vital signs intraoperatively, and oversee recovery in multispecialty hospitals. They may also support intensive care (ICU) and emergency trauma units. - Preoperative Evaluation: Assessing patient medical histories and lab results to create safe, tailored anesthetic plans. [1, 2]
- Intraoperative Care: Administering general, regional, or local anesthesia. Continuous monitoring of vital signs (HR, BP, SpO₂) and managing any adverse hemodynamic reactions or complications. [1, 2, 3]
- Postoperative Recovery: Managing patient recovery, administering pain relief,



and clearing patients for protected discharge or ward transfer. [1, 2]

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: MBBS followed by MD or DNB in Anesthesiology.
- Licensure: Valid state medical council registration.
- Certifications: Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are mandatory.

Pay: ₹150,969.44 - ₹250,352.87 per year
