Facility Manager Job Description
Position Overview
The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the productive operation, maintenance, and safety of facilities while overseeing minor technical projects and Environmental, Social, and Sustainability (ESS) initiatives. This role combines day-to-day facility operations including soft services with project coordination and sustainability program implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Oversee daily facility operations including HVAC, electrical,
plumbing, and building systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes. Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies while maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and building systems.
Minor Technical Projects
Plan, coordinate, and execute minor technical projects such as office reconfigurations, equipment installations, lighting upgrades, and minor renovations. Develop project timelines and budgets, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Manage project documentation and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
