This position ensures Seaspan vessels receive the necessary stores and spares in a timely and economical manner. The Senior Global Purchasing Manager manages and leads the purchasing team at SCMIPL, acts as a point of contact between purchasers and the fleet teams, resolves escalated issues and manages logistical challenges.



This position is responsible for both supply chain and logistics functions as carried out by the purchasing team.
Job Responsibilities:
• Is familiar with the Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Quality Policy (PL-005) and understands the responsibilities under the Environmental Management System (EMS). In keeping with this and other compliance policies, they understand their duty to report any environmental noncompliance and/or concern to their manager or members of the senior management team (including the highest level of management) either directly or through the open reporting system as per Management System guidelines.• Oversees the purchasing function carried out at SCMIPL.
