You will mentor social producers and editors while collaborating closely with editorial, video, design, and audience teams. From major political events to fast-moving news cycles, you will help determine how stories are packaged and delivered to audiences. Accountabilities
Lead the social media strategy and daily execution for US politics,



national and global news, elections, and major current affairs.
Develop short- and long-term social coverage plans around breaking news, political developments, and significant news cycles.
Monitor breaking stories and ensure timely, accurate, engaging, and platform-appropriate publishing across social channels.
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop social media producers and editors while maintaining high standards of performance and quality.
Develop platform-specific strategies and content approaches for Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
Identify compelling story angles, hooks, headlines, captions, thumbnails, and visual treatments designed to maximize audience engagement while protecting editorial integrity.
Partner with editorial, video, design, and audience development teams to create and distribute high-performing content.
