The candidate should be capable of developing database objects, writing effective SQL queries, supporting deployments, and collaborating with development teams in delivering enterprise applications.
Preferred candidate profile
2-3 years of experience in PostgreSQL and/or Oracle database development.
- Develop and maintain database tables, views, indexes, sequences, functions, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Write efficient SQL and PL/pgSQL code to support application functionality.
- Assist in database schema design and implement database changes based on business requirements.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for application and reporting needs.
- Support ETL processes including data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation.
- Perform basic query tuning using EXPLAIN ANALYZE and appropriate indexing techniques.
- Create and maintain ER diagrams, data models, and database documentation.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation to ensure data quality.
