Mainframe CA-ESP Batch Infra
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated CA-ESP Workload Automation Administrator with
3+ years of experience in enterprise job scheduling, workload automation, and
production support environments. The ideal candidate should possess robust expertise
in CA-ESP Workload Automation, Linux/Windows Administration, production
monitoring, troubleshooting through logs, and incident management using ServiceNow.
Candidates with exposure to Mainframe environments (TSO/ISPF) and a solid
understanding of High Availability (HA), Resiliency, and Disaster Recovery (DR)
concepts will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Workload Automation & Scheduling
Monitor, manage, and support enterprise batch workloads using CA-ESP
Workload Automation.
Create, update, and maintain job schedules, calendars, dependencies, and
workflows.
Ensure successful execution of critical batch jobs and SLA adherence.
Analyze job failures and perform root cause analysis.
Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and business teams for issue
resolution.
System Administration
Perform basic to intermediate administration and troubleshooting on Linux and
Windows servers.
Monitor system performance, logs, and resource utilization.
Investigate and resolve server-level issues impacting scheduled workloads.
Support routine maintenance activities and deployment activities.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Perform production support activities and proactive monitoring of applications
and batch processes.
Troubleshoot issues using application, system, and scheduler logs.
Identify recurring incidents and recommend preventive measures.
Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through ServiceNow.
Mainframe Support
Navigate and support activities in Mainframe environments using TSO/ISPF.
Monitor batch job execution and resolve scheduling dependencies involving
mainframe applications.
Coordinate with mainframe support teams during incident resolution.
