Job Summary:

The Duty Medical Officer (DMO)- Males are preferred and only MBBS registration must. Responsible for providing medical care in various hospital settings, including the Emergency Room (ER), Ward, Outpatient Department (OPD), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The DMO will oversee patient care, perform assessments, prescribe treatment, and provide emergency medical services. The role requires quick decision-making, solid clinical skills, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities: Emergency Room (ER):
- Patient Assessment and Care: Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute medical conditions, injuries, or other emergencies.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Provide initial diagnoses, stabilize patients, and initiate immediate treatment.
- Emergency Procedures: Perform emergency procedures (e.g., suturing, intubation, trauma care) as required.
- Coordination with Specialists: Collaborate with ER specialists, surgeons, and other departments to ensure patients receive appropriate care.
- Documentation and Reporting:



Document all patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and responses to interventions in medical records.
- Patient Transfers: Coordinate with the hospital’s admitting team for the transfer of critical patients to appropriate departments (ICU, surgery, etc.).

Ward:
- Patient Monitoring: Conduct daily rounds, assess the progress of hospitalized patients, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Treatment Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor for adverse effects, and adjust treatments based on patient responses.
- Discharge Planning: Assess patient readiness for discharge, provide discharge instructions, and ensure proper follow-up care.
- Collaboration: Work with nurses and other medical professionals to manage the care of patients in the ward.
- Emergency Care: Provide immediate care and interventions for patients in the ward who require urgent attention.
