Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) in accordance with ASME Section IX.
- Provide technical support to production for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, and piping fabrication.
- Resolve welding-related production issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, customer specifications, and applicable welding standards.
- Review fabrication drawings, welding symbols, material specifications, and ITPs.
- Monitor welding parameters, consumables, preheat, interpass temperature, and PWHT requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Production, Design, Purchase, NDT, and Project departments.
- Plan and supervise welder qualification and training activities.
- Participate in customer inspections, third-party inspections, and certification audits.
- Maintain welding documentation, traceability records,



repair records, and technical reports.
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce weld rejection and improve productivity.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of ASME Section IX and ASME Section VIII.
- Hands-on experience in WPS, PQR, WPQ preparation and implementation.
- Good understanding of welding processes such as GTAW, SMAW, SAW, FCAW, and GMAW.
- Knowledge of welding metallurgy, NDT methods, PWHT, and fabrication practices.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
