LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST:
- Perform the tests as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- In case of any doubt, confirm from prescription/customer about the tests that need to be done.
- Proper monitoring of test equipment by running the relevant controls/calibrators/retained sample as applicable, for ensuring accuracy of investigation.
- Upkeep of machines & equipment and their calibration whenever needed.
- Ensure that the customer/referring doctor is duly informed in case any test is not performed or is delayed.
- Verification of results of all test data prior to validation.
- Informing the lab director/purchase department about any materials & reagents that are required for uninterrupted processing of samples.
- Ensure the inspection of the received material and reagents.
- Ensure proper storage of all material.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Maintain records of equipment preventive/ breakdown maintenance and service reports.
- Implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow the instructions of consultants and management.
- Ensure proper Housekeeping of place of work.
- Carry out any other tasks as instructed by the superiors
