Job Summary
This role is responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using
OpenText Unified Functional Testing(UFT).
The role focuses on improving testing efficiency, reducing manual regression effort, and ensuring software quality across web, desktop, SAP, API, and enterprise applications.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
UFT Automation / QA Test Engineer
- Design, develop, enhance,



and maintain automated test scripts using UFT/QTP for web, desktop, SAP, API, and enterprise applications.
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and automation opportunities.
- Create and maintain automation frameworks using VBScript, reusable functions, object repositories, descriptive programming, parameterization, recovery scenarios, and test data management techniques.
- Develop and execute automated regression, smoke, sanity, functional, integration, and end-to-end test suites across multiple application releases.
- Perform manual testing when required, including test case design, execution, defect validation, exploratory testing, and UAT support.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such as ALM/Quality Center, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management systems.
