Role & responsibilities
- Inspect incoming raw materials and verify them against drawings, specifications, and purchase requirements.
- Conduct in-process and final inspection of machined components.
- Check dimensions using instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and technical specifications.
- Prepare inspection reports, dimensional reports, and other quality-related documents.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Identify non-conforming materials/components and coordinate with the production team for corrective action.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection at various stages of production.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and calibration records.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Support customer inspections and audits when required.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials and components.
- Follow company quality procedures and ISO requirements.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify and analyze quality issues.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality documentation will be an added advantage.
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
