About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Business Central Functional Consultant who can own Finance and Procurement/Inventory processes end-to-end from requirement gathering to configuration, testing, user training, and ongoing support. This is an end-user (in-house) role, not a partner-side implementation role. You will work directly with Finance, Sourcing, and Operations teams across multiple brands and legal entities.

Key Responsibilities
- Own functional setup and support for Finance modules — General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, and Fixed Assets — in Business Central.
- Support Procurement and Inventory processes including purchase workflows, item setup, and location management.
- Gather requirements from Finance, Sourcing, and Operations teams and convert them into clear functional specifications for the technical team.
- Configure posting groups, dimensions, number series, approval workflows, and recurring journals.
- Support statutory compliance — GST, TDS, TCS, and e-invoicing (IRN generation).




- Provide month-end and year-end closing support, reconciliations, and responses to internal and statutory audit queries.
- Perform functional testing of AL extensions and integrations (payment files, e-invoice APIs, in-house portals).
- Prepare UAT scripts, conduct end-user training, and maintain process documentation.
- Coordinate with technical consultants and the Microsoft partner for issue resolution and enhancements.

Must-Have Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on functional experience in Dynamics NAV / Business Central (BC14 or later preferred).
- Robust knowledge of the Finance module — posting groups, dimensions, GL structure, and bank reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of Indian localization — GST, TDS, and e-invoicing.
- Experience writing functional design documents and UAT scripts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business users.
