Position: Hardware Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing embedded hardware in Power domain
- Work on Analog and digital interface, board bring up, testing and debugging of the software
- Responsible for the selecting right components like Micro-Controller, Memory ICs, Driver ICs, Interface designs, ADC/DAC components
- Effort Estimations for proposals and carrying out detailed requirement analysis based on functionality, translating spec into actual system requirement and implement the same
- Work closely with EMS partners and vendors to improve the process, product quality, Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and automated testing
- Design the hardware that meets the medical device safety and performance standards, for ex
IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2
- Design of experiments for investigating issues and finding the way forward
Use structured reasoning (Fishbone, 8D etc) to RCA issues
Implement CAPA
- Participate in AFMEA, own DFMEA, and collaborate with the manufacturing team for PFMEA
- To Design and implement PCB designs that meet the electrical, EMC, Safety, mechanical, thermal and DFA/DFM requirements of the system
- Able to mentor a team
Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in hardware designing
- Hands-on experience in DC-DC converter designs, SMPS power supply design for ac and DC based systems
- Good knowledge in PCB layout guidelines, PCB designing concepts, impedance control layout design, length matching
- Should have working knowledge on circuit breakers, IGBT s, MOSFET etc
- Must have solid knowledge of circuit theory and electrical engineering principles
- Experience in signal integrity, power integrity and EMI/EMC concept
- Experience in guiding the PCB team
- Must have hands-on experience on high pot, high frequency designs
