The Electrician is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the cinema premises. The role focuses on providing a safe, uninterrupted, and comfortable workplace for guests and employees by ensuring all electrical installations comply with safety standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Electrical Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in lighting, power distribution, and electrical panels.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to all cinema operations.
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain electrical equipment such as HVAC electrical controls, UPS systems, generators, lighting systems, escalators (electrical components), and emergency lighting.
- Monitor the functioning of projection room electrical systems and coordinate with technical teams when required.
- Maintain backup power systems and ensure readiness during power outages.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all electrical safety standards and company SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to electrical installations.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and rectify potential electrical hazards.
- Maintain proper earthing, circuit protection, and electrical safety devices.
Breakdown Management
- Attend electrical breakdowns promptly and minimize operational downtime.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions.
- Coordinate with external vendors for major electrical repairs when necessary.
Documentation
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and service records.
- Record daily maintenance activities, repairs, and material consumption.
