Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and execute our climate-smart agriculture and rural development projects across 5 states. You will take full ownership of newly acquired projects from handover to completion - leading team hiring, strategic planning, field execution, progress monitoring, and direct donor relations.
You will directly manage state-level Project Coordinators (PCs) at each project location.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution & Planning: Take over awarded projects and build comprehensive work plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management frameworks.
- Team Leadership & Hiring: Recruit and onboard local Project Coordinators and field teams across all 5 state locations; mentor and manage state PCs.
- Monitoring & Quality Control: Conduct regular field visits, review project progress against KPIs,
and ensure high-quality execution of climate-resilient farming and rural initiatives.
- Funder Relations & Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for funding agencies; prepare and submit timely, high-quality technical and financial progress reports.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline field logistics, equipment utilization, procurement, and compliance across all project sites.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing 3 or more rural development, agriculture and/or livelihood projects.
- Proven track record in project lifecycle management, donor reporting, and grant compliance.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote/distributed field teams (Project Coordinators).
- Willingness to travel extensively across all the project locations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and donor-facing relationship management skills.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
