Driving production planning, capacity optimization, and cost efficiency across a multi-product pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, directly supporting director and COO-level decision-making. Own end-to-end batch-wise cost analysis, product-wise utility costing, and raw material costing to strengthen financial planning and identify cost-reduction opportunities. Manage daily production, yield, and finished goods reporting while overseeing raw material inventory and dispatch coordination to ensure zero stock-outs and uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and optimize monthly production schedules, aligning batch cycle times with reactor utilization and downstream equipment availability across multiple API product lines.
- Update production schedules on a daily basis with input, output, and yield data along with delay tracking, ensuring real-time visibility into plant performance.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure schedule adherence and minimize downtime.
Capacity Planning & Process Engineering
- Conduct capacity mapping across reactors, centrifuges, VTDs, and distillation columns to identify utilization bottlenecks and improve throughput.
- Support plant expansion projects by engineering the addition of recent process equipment, applying scale-up principles and detailed capacity/mass balance analysis.
Cost & Utility Management
- Drive product-wise utility costing to enable precise cost allocation and strengthen budgeting accuracy at the leadership level.
- Conduct raw material costing for each product and report findings directly to senior management, delivering critical inputs that shape financial planning and pricing strategy.
- Lead in-depth batch-wise cost analysis to track manufacturing costs, uncover cost-reduction opportunities.
Material & Inventory Management
- Proactively track raw material inventory to prevent stock-outs across critical materials, closely coor
