Role & responsibilities
- Manage the school transport fleet, ensuring all vehicles comply with statutory requirements, maintenance schedules, insurance, permits, and safety standards.
- Plan and optimize transport routes, schedules, and fleet utilization to ensure timely, protected, and cost-effective student transportation.
- Ensure student safety by implementing transport SOPs, emergency response protocols, GPS/CCTV monitoring, attendance verification, and compliance with school transport policies.
- Supervise and manage drivers and bus attendants, including recruitment support, documentation, training, rostering, performance management, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdown support, accident reporting, insurance claims,



and vendor/service provider management.
- Monitor transport budgets, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, vendor billing, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Maintain transport records, fleet documentation, route data, compliance trackers, and management reports.
- Conduct regular transport audits, safety inspections, and emergency drills while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with school leadership, parents, vendors, and regulatory authorities to ensure high service standards and regulatory compliance.
