Legal Counsel
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Structure, draft, negotiate and finalize contracts and responses to tenders ensuring compliance with applicable national and international laws and regulations
Conduct research and draft memoranda in various legal fields, including competition law
Provide assistance to SES’s affiliates and subsidiaries on legal aspects as requested
Provide support and advice in legal matters in various functions, including transactional work
Ability to communicate succinctly, diplomatically and credibly at all levels within the organisation
Collaborative individual, able to build relationships across all levels and functions of the organization
Clear and candid communicator able to produce and present to a variety of internal and external audiences
Provide timely and effective legal advice to the commercial groups in support of their respective projects, contracts and initiatives including bids and public/private partnership initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree or LLM in law
Bar qualification would be of advantage
Three to five years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or legal department of a company would be of advantage
Experience in the telecommunication/media sector would be of advantage
Computer literacy (word, excel, power point)
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS
Fluency in English, both oral and written, is a must
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
