About The Role
The Platform Reliability Engineer is a critical role within Tech Data’s enterprise operations, responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of our enterprise platforms across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. This engineering-driven position emphasizes automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), observability, and the reduction of operational toil.



The engineer will serve as the Level 3 escalation point for complex incidents, leading diagnosis, stabilization, and recovery efforts. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance platform run posture, define service level objectives (SLOs), and develop strategies for proactive operational management. The role requires a proactive mindset, a strong technical foundation, and a commitment to operational excellence to support Tech Data’s mission of delivering seamless technology solutions to clients worldwide.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or operations within large-scale, production environments. Hands-on experience managing hybrid cloud operations—combining cloud services with on-premises infrastructure—is essential.
