The Master Data Administrator (MDA) is responsible for planning, managing, and executing the activities associated with detailed analysis, standardization, enrichment, and maintenance of all master data. This role actively drives data quality by resolving missing information and systematically eliminating duplicates to ensure a reliable ERP ecosystem.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The MDA provides extensive support in the areas of Master Data Requirements, controls, processes, and data integrity. The MDA will interface with data team members and platform resources across global time zones in the execution of their duties and responsibilities:
- Data Standardization: Execute data standardization rules across legacy and target systems, ensuring absolute consistency in naming conventions, formats, and classifications.
- Missing Data Enrichment: Proactively identify records with missing critical attributes and utilize external sources, supplier catalogs, or internal files to research and fill in the gaps.
- Deduplication & Consolidation:
Perform systematic duplicate identification, resolve matches using matching logic, and prepare ready-to-import consolidation templates for US team approval.
- Process Compliance: Work with internal teams to make sure all data cleanup requests include all required information and strictly adhere to company Data Quality Rules (DQRs) and standards.
- System Health: Regularly review and profile master data to ensure it follows company policies, standards, and procedures, maintaining productive system performance within the ERP system.
- Issue Resolution: Identify data or system issues, propose actionable solutions or temporary workarounds, and flag complex data conflicts to the onshore team with clear resolution recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of master data requirements in the ERP and how it affects downstream systems used across the company.
