Key Responsibilities
- Develop 2D engineering and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create 3D part models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Design and modify product enclosures, brackets, mounting components, and other mechanical parts.
- Prepare drawings suitable for sheet-metal fabrication, machining, and manufacturing.
- Measure existing components and prototypes and convert them into accurate CAD models.
- Evaluate component fitment, alignment, clearances, and assembly feasibility.
- Coordinate with the electronics, production, and testing teams during product development.
- Implement design modifications based on prototype testing and manufacturing feedback.
- Maintain CAD files, technical drawings, revisions, and design documentation.
- Support prototype development and continuous product improvement activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic to good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Basic to good knowledge of SolidWorks.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances,
and basic manufacturing practices.
- Good 3D visualization and spatial understanding.
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn practical design and manufacturing processes.
Good to Have—Not Mandatory
- Knowledge of Fusion 360.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.;
- Knowledge of sheet-metal design.
- Familiarity with machining and fabrication processes.
- Basic knowledge of assembly design.
- Understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing methods
