Role Description
The Kidswear Designer will work on-site in Madhyamgram in a full-time capacity, collaborating closely with the product and production teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating original design concepts for infant and kids’ apparel, developing sketches and technical drawings, and selecting fabrics, trims, and colors that align with the brand’s comfort and style standards. The role involves preparing design specifications for sampling, reviewing fit and quality of prototypes, and refining designs based on feedback.



The designer will also track current trends in kidswear, support seasonal collection planning, and ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet cost and quality targets.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in fashion design for infants and children, including sketching, concept development, and creating technical flats.
- Experience working with soft, comfortable fabrics suitable for infant wear and knowledge of child-safe materials and trims.
- Ability to translate brand aesthetics into practical, functional garments that are easy to wear and care for.
- Proficiency with design tools (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD software) for garment and print development.
- Attention to detail in fit, quality, and finishing, with the ability to review samples and communicate clear corrections.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with production, sourcing, and merchandising teams.
