Scope
- Lead a team of software engineers within the Returns Development organization, providing technical direction, people leadership, execution discipline, and coaching.
- Partner closely with Product Management, UX, Cloud Operations, Support, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality returns capabilities aligned to roadmap commitments and customer outcomes.
- Drive enterprise engineering practices that improve quality, scalability, reliability, performance, security, maintainability, and operational readiness across services and applications.

What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, creating clarity of priorities, accountability, and growth opportunities.
- Own delivery execution for assigned Returns Development roadmap commitments, ensuring predictable planning, high-quality delivery, and transparent communication of progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Provide technical leadership in design and implementation discussions, helping the team make sound architectural decisions for scalable, performant, secure,



and maintainable solutions.
- Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap priorities, customer needs, and business outcomes into well-defined engineering plans and releases.
- Drive Agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, execution tracking, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
- Improve engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, CI/CD practices, observability, operational readiness, defect reduction, and root cause analysis.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies with adjacent product, platform, cloud, support, and implementation teams to ensure successful end-to-end solution delivery.
- Support customer escalations and production issues by ensuring timely technical investigation, explicit communication, and durable corrective actions.
- Build team capability through hiring, onboarding, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning
