Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced BI Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise analytics solutions. This role focuses on delivering robust data models, reporting, and dashboards using modern BI tools, with a strong emphasis on data quality, governance, and performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to enable actionable insights, drive data-driven decision making, and contribute to organizational growth and regulatory compliance.

Software Requirements
Required Skills (Essential)
- Solid hands-on experience with Power BI reports and dashboards
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database design, data modeling, and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with SSRS development for report creation
- Experience with data modeling concepts (star/snowflake) and metadata management
- Advanced Excel proficiency for data analysis and presentation (optional but beneficial)
- Experience with data visualization concepts and storytelling for leadership audiences




- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security practices

Preferred Skills
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory) and data integration
- Knowledge of data lakes and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience with Power BI administration, dataflows, and deployment pipelines
- Familiarity with NoSQL data stores and data warehousing concepts
- Industry experience in banking/financial services or regulated sectors

Overall Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise BI solutions including Power BI reports, SSRS reports, and data models
- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable BI solutions
- Build scalable data models and dashboards to support key business KPIs and regulatory repo
