- Supervise and coordinate nursing services across all hospital departments.
- Prepare and monitor nursing duty rosters and staff deployment according to patient workload.
- Ensure adequate staffing and effective utilization of nursing personnel.
- Monitor the quality and safety of patient care provided by nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with nursing SOPs, hospital policies and NABH standards.
- Monitor medication safety, patient identification, nursing documentation and handover practices.
- Supervise nursing staff performance, attendance, discipline and qualified conduct.
- Conduct orientation, training and competency assessments for nursing staff.
- Coordinate with doctors, HR, Quality, Infection Control, Pharmacy and other departments.
- Monitor nursing-related incidents, complaints and patient feedback and ensure appropriate corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and biomedical waste management practices.
- Participate in internal audits, quality improvement activities and NABH assessments.
- Monitor nursing quality indicators and ensure timely CAPA implementation.
- Ensure availability of nursing equipment, consumables and other essential supplies.
- Handle emergency situations and ensure nursing preparedness for Code Blue, fire and disaster management.
- Participate in recruitment, appraisal and performance management of nursing personnel.
- Prepare and submit nursing-related reports to hospital management.
