Position: Insurance Manager

Reporting To: Head – Operations / Finance

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the overall insurance and TPA operations of the hospital, ensuring smooth processing of cashless and reimbursement claims, timely approvals, accurate documentation, and effective coordination with patients, insurance companies and TPAs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Insurance/TPA department.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs for pre-authorisation, approvals, extensions and final settlements.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of insurance claims with complete documentation.
- Monitor pending approvals, claims and outstanding receivables and ensure timely follow-up.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, billing, medical records and finance teams for claim-related requirements.
- Handle queries, discrepancies, deductions and claim rejections and take corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with insurance/TPA guidelines,



hospital policies and applicable regulations.
- Monitor claim turnaround time, rejection rate, deductions and collection performance.
- Maintain proper records and prepare regular MIS/reports for management.
- Lead and guide the Insurance/TPA team and improve process efficiency.
- Maintain professional communication with patients and their attendants regarding insurance-related matters.

Qualification & Experience:
- Qualification: Graduate; MBA/PG Diploma in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management or related field preferred.
- Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in hospital insurance/TPA operations, preferably in a multi-speciality or cancer hospital.
- Robust knowledge of cashless authorization, insurance claims, TPA processes and hospital billing.
- Good communication, coordination, analytical and team-management skills.
