Role & responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end import operations including shipment planning & documentation.
- Coordinate withsuppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Monitor shipment schedules and track incoming consignments to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify documentation (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and logistics documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments like procurement & finance to streamline operations.
- Resolve any issues or delays in the import process proactively.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in import operations, logistics coordination, or supply chain management.
- Basic knowledge of import documentation such as Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin.
- Understanding of customs regulations, international trade procedures, and shipping processes.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments.
- Ability to track shipments and handle import-related issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and email communication.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
