Monetization and Pricing Manager

This role owns the commercial architecture of the product. It determines what is charged, how it is charged, in which currency, at what margin, and what the business can afford to give away in order to acquire and retain accounts. The role sits between finance and product and is accountable for gross margin outcomes rather than for producing analysis alone.

Core responsibilities

Build and maintain the cost-to-serve model at the smallest chargeable unit, incorporating every variable input cost, and establish the floor beneath which no plan, discount, or incentive may be priced.

Design the plan and packaging architecture across multiple geographies, including tier boundaries, entitlement limits, overage treatment, committed-use structures, prepaid credit mechanics, and enterprise contract terms.

Set and defend price points across currencies, accounting for purchasing power differences, local competitive benchmarks,



tax inclusive versus exclusive presentation, foreign exchange exposure, and payment method mix by market.

Design incentive and partner compensation programs end to end. This includes the reward structure, qualification criteria, attribution windows, payout ceilings, clawback conditions, tier progression logic, and the fraud and abuse controls that keep the program solvent. Every program must be delivered with a full financial model showing margin dilution, break-even adoption rate, payback period, and worst-case liability exposure.

Model the tax and regulatory treatment of all outbound partner compensation, including withholding obligations, indirect tax treatment on revenue-share arrangements, and the constraints that apply when compensation crosses borders.

Own the metric layer and reporting cadence: contribution margin per account, cohort-level lifetime value, acquisition cost payback, net and gross reve
