Role & responsibilities
- Develop and prepare FEA models for mechanical and CFRP composite structures.
- Perform finite element pre-processing, geometry cleanup, meshing, and model connectivity.
- Define boundary conditions, loads, material properties, contacts, and analysis setup.
- Perform/support structural analyses including:
- Linear Static Analysis
- Modal Analysis
- Linear Buckling Analysis
- Basic Nonlinear Analysis
- Review and interpret FEA results using engineering principles.
- Provide design recommendations based on simulation results.
- Ensure mesh quality, model accuracy, and compliance with defined engineering standards.
- Coordinate with design and analysis teams to incorporate feedback.
- Maintain model documentation, traceability, and quality records.
- Prepare technical presentations and communicate findings to customers/stakeholders.
- Manage multiple analysis models and deliver projects within defined timelines.
Preferred candidate profile
- Solid understanding of Finite Element Method (FEM) theory and structural analysis.
- Good knowledge of composite design and analysis, particularly CFRP structures.
- Understanding of mesh quality and its impact on FEA accuracy.
- Strong fundamentals in:
- Strength of Materials
- Composite Failure Theories
- Metallic Failure Theories
- Material Behaviour Ductile/Brittle
- Structural Mechanics
- Hands-on experience with FEMAP, NASTRAN, and HyperMesh preferred.
- Knowledge of structural vibrations and fatigue analysis is an added advantage.
- Experience in an engineering/quality-driven CFRP composites environment is preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple models.
- Willingness to work extended hours/night shifts, when required
