Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Storage Firmware Architect with 15+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing firmware for enterprise-class storage products. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of HDD, SSD, NVMe, SAS, SATA, Flash Translation Layer (FTL), and storage controller architectures. The role involves leading firmware development from architecture through product deployment, performance optimization, and next-generation storage innovations. Candidate will have exciting chance to learn storage related concepts which is key to data center market

Key Responsibilities
- Firmware Architecture & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain firmware for enterprise HDD involving SAS/SATA, ZAC/ZBC
- Define firmware architecture, software frameworks, and module interfaces for scalable storage solutions
- Firmware/Software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, validation, and release.
- Implement algorithms and/or improve implementations and take part in their verification and production.





Storage Technology Leadership
- Drive development of advanced storage features including:
- Middleware/Flash Translation Layer (FTL)
- Garbage Collection
- Error Recovery
- Power-Fail Management
- Storage Protocol (SATA, SAS, NVMe) knowhow
- Collaborate on future storage technologies and product roadmaps.

Performance & Reliability Optimization
- Analyze and optimize firmware performance, latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
- Lead root cause analysis of field issues and customer escalations.
- Develop diagnostic, telemetry, and debug capabilities.
- Develop simulation architecture to validate new performance algorithms.

Cross-Functional Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to firmware engineers.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
- Engage with customers and field teams to understand requirements and resolve complex issues.
