Role Description
The Audio Play Writer is a full-time, in office role based at The Voice Bank’s studio in Mumbai.



This role involves writing original audio play scripts, adapting existing stories for audio formats, and crafting dialogue that showcases character, emotion, and dramatic tension for voice performance. The writer will collaborate closely with directors, voice artists, and sound engineers to refine scripts for recording, ensuring pacing, structure, and sound cues translate effectively in the studio environment. Daily tasks include brainstorming concepts, outlining episodes, revising scripts based on feedback, and aligning content with project briefs, target audiences, and language requirements. The role may also involve researching settings and characters, creating documentation for dubbing and localization, and supporting quality control during script read-throughs and recording sessions.
