Role & responsibilities

Job description:

1. SARFAESI Act Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal notices, applications, and documents related to the enforcement of security interests under the SARFAESI Act.
- Draft and file necessary documents for initiating and progressing recovery proceedings, including but not limited to notices under Section 13(2), Section 13(4), and Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act.
- Support the legal team in compliance matters related to the enforcement of security interest, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

2. Documentation & Drafting:
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including agreements, pleadings, petitions, affidavits, and other correspondence related to loan recoveries and mortgage enforcement.

3. Case Management:
- Maintain accurate records of case files, legal proceedings, and documentation related to recovery cases.
- Assist in tracking progress of legal actions, including court hearings, DRT (Debt Recovery Tribunal) cases, and proceedings under the SARFAESI Act.




- Prepare summaries and reports on the status of cases and legal actions for senior management.

4. Research and Legal Analysis:
- Conduct legal research on SARFAESI laws, housing finance regulations, recovery procedures, and relevant case laws.
- Stay updated with changes in financial, banking, and housing finance laws, particularly as they relate to asset recovery and NPA management.

5. Coordination and Liaison:
- Coordinate with external counsel, government authorities, and other stakeholders involved in legal proceedings.

6. Support in Litigation and Arbitration:
- Assist in litigation-related matters, including drafting petitions, filings, and preparing case briefs.
