Role & responsibilities

7+ to 10+ years of relevant experience, based on position level and business requirement.

Foundational skills*
- Strong hands-on Mainframe Db2 for z/OS DBA experience, including utilities,

backup/recovery, performance tuning, SQL analysis, and production support.
- Good working knowledge of replication platforms including QREP, CDC, DPROP, and CDA.
- Solid mainframe fundamentals across JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, datasets, batch processing,

and operational troubleshooting.
- Automation experience using Python, REXX, shell/USS scripting, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, z/OS Connect, z/OSMF workflows, API integration, and

mainframe security concepts.
- Solid problem-solving, cross-platform troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration





skills in a global support environment.

Desired skills
- USS scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar

platforms.
- Exposure to Db2 modernization, mainframe API enablement, platform automation, and

integration with distributed/cloud-based systems.
- Experience with JavaScript, or other automation and development tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of BMC and IBM Db2 tools/utilities is preferred.
- Willingness to learn emerging mainframe modernization technologies and contribute to

continuous improvement initiatives.
