Job Overview

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Engineer to develop, integrate, debug, and optimize platform software for next-generation SoC platforms. This role requires strong system-level expertise across Linux, Android, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, DSP, connectivity, power management, and AI-enabled systems.

The successful candidate will contribute to platform bring-up, subsystem integration, performance optimization, customer issue resolution, and product commercialization while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate platform software across Linux, Android, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, firmware, middleware, and subsystem interfaces.
- Support platform bring-up, feature enablement, and software readiness for current silicon programs.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues spanning hardware, firmware, kernel, middleware, and application layers.
- Analyze and optimize system behavior across power, performance,



memory, thermal, reliability, and user experience dimensions.
- Diagnose issues involving CPU, DSP, GPU, memory, storage, clocks, regulators, thermal management, and connectivity subsystems.
- Collaborate with silicon, firmware, validation, and software teams to deliver high-quality platform solutions.
- Drive customer issue investigations from problem identification through root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Contribute to automation, observability, and engineering productivity initiatives.
Technical Leadership
- Drive technical execution within assigned platform and subsystem domains.
- Apply structured debugging techniques including instrumentation, tracing, failure reproduction, cross-system correlation, and root-cause isolation.
