Job Description – R&D; Executive

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced R&D; Executive to develop and optimize innovative resin-based products for the stone, composite, and construction materials industry. The ideal candidate should have strong formulation, testing, and troubleshooting skills in polymer chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and improve formulations for PU, Epoxy, Polyester Resins, Composites, and Paints & Coatings.

Conduct laboratory trials, product validation, and performance testing.

Optimize formulations for quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency.

Prepare technical documents including TDS, SDS, COA, and SOPs.

Investigate product failures and provide technical solutions.

Support production during scale-up and commercialization of new products.

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams.

Evaluate and qualify new raw materials and suppliers.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.





Maintain laboratory equipment, records, and development reports.

Required Skills

Solid knowledge of polymer chemistry and resin systems.

Hands-on experience with PU, Epoxy, Polyester Resins, Paints, and Composite materials.

Knowledge of formulation development, curing mechanisms, fillers, pigments, additives, and testing methods.

Familiarity with analytical and laboratory testing equipment.

Good problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and technical reporting.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Chemical Engineering

OR M.Sc. in Chemistry/Polymer Science/Industrial Chemistry

Preferred Experience

5–10 years in R&D; for resins, composites, adhesives, paints, or construction chemicals.

Experience in scaling up laboratory formulations to commercial production.
