- Maintain and repair foundry machines and equipment.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Maintain furnaces, shot blasting machines, moulding machines, compressors, pumps, conveyors, cranes, and other foundry equipment.
- Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical problems.
- Check lubrication, belts, bearings, chains, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
- Attend machine breakdowns and minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records and spare-parts requirements.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality departments during equipment problems.
- Ensure machines are operated safely and properly.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance area.
- Follow safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Electrical
Experience
2–5 years of experience in foundry or industrial maintenance preferred.
