Position Overview

SR Group of Institutions, Jhansi is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant in Physics to join the Department of Applied Science. The candidate will support senior faculty members in delivering the Engineering Physics curriculum to undergraduate engineering (B.Tech) students. The ideal candidate holds an M.Sc. in Physics, demonstrates robust laboratory expertise, and possesses a passion for academic instruction and student mentorship.

Key Responsibilities1. Laboratory Instruction & Management
- Conduct and supervise hands-on Engineering Physics practical sessions for B.Tech students.
- Explain experimental concepts, demonstrate equipment setup, and enforce laboratory safety protocols.
- Maintain Physics laboratory equipment (e.g., spectrometers, lasers,



fiber optics kits, oscilloscopes) in working condition.
- Maintain inventory logs, report equipment maintenance needs, and assist in setting up new experiments.

2. Academic Support & Tutorials
- Lead problem-solving tutorial sessions on core Engineering Physics topics (e.g., Quantum Mechanics, Wave Optics, Electromagnetism, Semiconductor Physics).
- Help senior faculty draft lab manuals, tutorial sheets, and practice problem sets.
- Hold designated office hours to address student queries and provide academic support to first-year engineering students.
- Assist faculty in evaluating practical record books, quizzes, assignments, and internal lab exams.

3. Administrative & Departmental Duties
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, practical marks, and continuous assessment scores.
