JOB DESCRIPTION – PIPING ENGINEER

Position: Piping Engineer
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
Experience: 5–10 Years
Employment Type: Contract – 6 Months

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Piping Engineer with 5–10 years of relevant experience in piping design and engineering. The candidate should be proficient in CADWorx and have strong knowledge of piping layouts, equipment integration, and preparation of piping engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review piping layouts using CADWorx.
- Prepare 3D piping models based on engineering specifications, P&IDs;, equipment layouts, and project requirements.
- Develop piping arrangements, GA drawings, isometrics, and other piping deliverables.
- Ensure proper routing of pipes considering accessibility, maintenance, safety, and constructability.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
- Review P&IDs; and incorporate design changes into the piping model.
- Perform clash checking and resolve design/interface issues.




- Prepare and review piping isometric drawings and support requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during project execution.
- Coordinate with the project team to meet engineering deliverables and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in piping engineering/design.
- Proficient in CADWorx for 3D piping modelling and design.
- Valuable understanding of P&IDs;, piping layouts, isometrics, and piping components.
- Knowledge of piping materials, valves, fittings, and piping specifications.
- Understanding of piping supports, equipment connections, and pipe routing principles.
- Good knowledge of applicable piping codes and standards.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
