Documentation Clerk – Shipyard, Goa

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and control all project and shipyard-related documents, records, and files.
- Prepare, update, scan, file, and submit daily project documentation to the concerned departments/client.
- Maintain records of manpower, attendance, work permits, gate passes, safety documents, and employee/worker credentials.
- Coordinate with the site, HR, safety, project, and commercial teams to collect required documents.
- Track document submissions, approvals, revisions, and pending documents to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain inspection reports, work completion records, material documents, checklists, permits, and project correspondence.
- Ensure all documents are properly numbered, signed, approved, and filed for easy retrieval.
- Prepare daily/weekly documentation status reports and maintain document registers.




- Coordinate with shipyard authorities and project personnel for document submission and follow-up.
- Maintain both physical and digital records and ensure confidentiality of project documents.
- Support the project team in compiling documents required for billing, audits, inspections, and project handover.

Qualifications

Graduate/Diploma with 1–3 years of experience in shipyard, marine, construction, fabrication, or industrial projects. Valuable knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, document control, and email communication is preferred. Experience handling shipyard/client documentation and manpower records will be an advantage.
