Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end administration of enterprise databases across Production and Non-Production AWS environments.
- Lead complex database migration initiatives using AWS DMS, snapshot sharing, replication, and cloud-native migration strategies with minimal downtime.
- Administer multiple database platforms including Aurora PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Redis.
- Design, provision, and maintain database infrastructure for current applications and environment onboarding.
- Collaborate with application, Cloud, DBA, Security, Network, DevOps, and SRE teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available database solutions.




- Support business-critical production deployments, release activities, change requests, emergency production incidents, and post-deployment validation.
- Optimize database performance through execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, query tuning, partitioning, vacuuming, workload analysis, and database health assessments.
- Lead application performance improvement initiatives by collaborating with AWS, MongoDB vendors, DBAs, and application teams to identify and eliminate database bottlenecks.
- Improved Promotion Engine batch processing performance by reducing MongoDB and DynamoDB synchronization time from approximately 5 hours to nearly 1 hour through database tuning, indexing, and workload optimization.
- Build and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Grafana, and operational dashboards.
