Position: Service Advisor
Department: Service / Workshop
Reporting To: Service Manager / Works Manager
Location: Wincanton Motors – Ashok Leyland Authorized Service Centre

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Handling
- Receive customers and understand their vehicle complaints and service requirements.
- Explain the repair process, estimated cost, and expected delivery time to customers.
- Maintain qualified communication and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Vehicle Reception & Job Card
- Conduct vehicle reception and prepare accurate job cards based on customer complaints.
- Record all complaints, observations, and additional requirements properly.
- Ensure proper vehicle inspection and document any additional damages/concerns.
- Job Allocation & Workshop Coordination
- Coordinate with the Workshop Floor Supervisor and technicians for timely job allocation.
- Monitor job progress and ensure work is carried out as per the job card.
- Follow up on pending jobs, spare parts requirements, and technical issues.
- Estimate & Approval




- Prepare repair estimates based on the required work.
- Obtain customer approval before proceeding with chargeable repairs.
- Communicate any additional repair requirements and obtain approval before carrying out the work.
- TAT & Delivery Management
- Monitor vehicle TAT (Turnaround Time) and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with the workshop team to achieve same-day delivery wherever applicable.
- Keep customers informed about delays and revised delivery schedules.
- Spare Parts Coordination
- Coordinate with the Spare Parts Department for required parts.
- Follow up on parts availability and pending parts affecting vehicle delivery.
- Ensure parts are properly linked to the relevant job card.
- Quality & Final Inspection
- Ensure all customer complaints are addressed before delivery.
- Coordinate final inspection and road testing where required.
- Confirm that the vehicle is clean and ready for delivery.
- Customer Follow-up
