Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Desktop Engineer Trainee to join our IT support team. The candidate will assist with desktop support, hardware and software troubleshooting, system installations, user support, and basic network-related issues while gaining hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and end-user computing.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to users for desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
- Assist with hardware installation, replacement, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot software, application, connectivity, and basic network issues.
- Create, update, and maintain IT support tickets and technical documentation.
- Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access-related requests.
- Support antivirus, security updates, patches,



and system maintenance activities.
- Assist senior engineers with IT infrastructure and desktop support activities.
- Maintain IT asset records and ensure proper allocation of hardware and peripherals.
- Follow company IT policies, security procedures, and standard troubleshooting processes.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or the appropriate support team.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and desktop hardware.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts such as IP address, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and TCP/IP.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn current technologies and IT tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / equivalent qualification in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related fiel
