We are seeking a Assocaite/ Senior Associate with hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, payroll and statutory compliance. The selected candidate will independently handle multiple client assignments and coordinate with clients, auditors and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Handle journal entries, ledger scrutiny, accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bank and other account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare Balance Sheet, P&L;, Trial Balance, Cash Flow and supporting schedules.
- Manage GST and TDS compliance and related reconciliations.
- Assist with income tax return preparation and tax computations.
- Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions.
- Coordinate banking and payment-related activities.
- Support statutory, tax and internal audits.
- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of filings.
- Coordinate with clients for records, documents and resolution of accounting/compliance queries.
- Prepare MIS and other management reports.
- Guide junior team members and ensure timely completion of assignments.
Candidate Requirements
- CA Inter/CMA Inter preferred; M.Com/ MBA candidates may also apply.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax.
- Experience with payroll and statutory compliances.
- Good understanding of banking and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally Prime, Busy, QuickBooks, Zoho or Xero.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple assignments.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a consulting firm will be an advantage.
