ABOUT
Visitly is a visitor management platform used across 25+ countries by enterprises with serious security requirements — Fortune 500 companies spanning technology, cybersecurity, hardware and transportation. When someone walks into one of their lobbies, our software is what stands between the front door and the building.
We’re hiring our first Lead SDET to own quality and release engineering end to end.
WHY THIS ROLE IS COMPELLING
Our failure modes are real ones.
A badge that doesn’t print stalls a lobby
. A broken SSO integration locks out a customer’s entire security team. Tenant isolation has to hold absolutely, every time.
And the surface we have to cover is genuinely hard: a Java/Spring Boot backend, an Angular web app, a React Native mobile app, an iPad kiosk, physical badge printers and badge readers, 50+ third-party integrations, and multi-tenant architecture underneath all of it.
Testing everything isn’t an option.
Deciding what matters most, and being right about it, is the job.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Quality strategy — build the risk model for our product: which flows must never break, what depth of coverage each one deserves, and where automation earns its maintenance cost
- The automation layer — shape our test architecture at the right levels, integrated into CI, fast enough that engineers rely on it rather than route around it
- Release management — own the release gate, go/no-go, staged rollout, and rollback. You’ll have real authority here and the backing to use it
- The team — lead and grow a small QA team, hands-on alongside them
- Production feedback — close the loop between what happens in the field and what we test, including the observability that makes debugging fast
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5–6+ years in software quality, with meaningful time at a product company — somewhere you shipped your own
