Job Title: Customs CHA Documentation Executive

Job Summary

The Customs CHA Documentation Executive is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing import and export documentation required for customs clearance. The role ensures compliance with customs regulations, timely document processing, and effective coordination with clients, customs authorities, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify import and export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Shipping Bills, Bills of Entry, and other statutory documents.
- Scrutinize documents received from clients for completeness and accuracy before customs filing.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), customs officials, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure smooth documentation and cargo clearance.
- Ensure compliance with Customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, and other statutory requirements.
- Obtain and verify required licenses,



certificates, and permissions for import/export shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of shipment documents and ensure proper filing for audit and compliance purposes.
- Coordinate with customers to collect pending documents and resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Support the filing team by providing complete and accurate documentation for EDI filing through ICEGATE.
- Monitor shipment documentation timelines to avoid delays, penalties, detention, or demurrage charges.
- Prepare reports related to shipment status, pending documentation, and customs activities.
- Stay updated on changes in customs procedures, documentation requirements, and trade regulations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in Customs Documentation, CHA Operations, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics.
