Job Description – Lead Civil & Structural Design Engineer

Experience: 7–10 years
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Structural/Civil Engineering preferred.

Role Summary

Lead Civil & Structural design engineering for Way Side Amenities (WSA), Non-Fuel Retail and associated commercial projects, ensuring safe, cost-effective, compliant and constructible designs from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Civil & Structural design for retail, commercial, F&B;, utility and amenity facilities.
- Review and approve structural systems, foundations, civil works, roads, drainage, paving and external development.
- Manage engineering consultants, review deliverables and ensure timely design closure.
- Review IFC drawings, calculations, BOQ/SOQ/MTOs and technical specifications for quality and consistency.
- Drive standardization, value engineering and cost optimization.
- Coordinate with Architecture, MEP, Projects, Procurement, Construction and Operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes, NBC, IRC,



statutory requirements and company standards.
- Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs, site queries and shop-drawing reviews.
- Lead and mentor Civil & Structural engineers/designers.

Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC, structural steel, foundations and civil infrastructure.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of BOQ/SOQ/MTO, construction methodologies and site execution.
- Robust consultant management, stakeholder coordination, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- BIM/digital engineering knowledge is desirable.

Preferred Industry Experience

Retail, commercial buildings, highway facilities, petroleum retail, hospitality or infrastructure projects.
